Innovatus Imaging of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has named Xueli Wang its CFO. Wang has been head of business analytics at Bayer Medical Care Multi Vendor Service and has a Carnegie Mellon MBA.
Greater Newport Physicians (GNP) of Los Angeles, California has selected MemorialCare Medical Foundation (MMF) CEO Mark Schafer to replace retiring CEO Diane Laird. Laird founded GNP in 1985 and led its merger with MMF in 2012. Schafer will also continue as CEO of MMF.
Nuvo Group LTD of New York, New York named Debra Bass its global chief marketing officer and president. Bass joins Nuvo Group from Johnson & Johnson (J&J) Consumer Companies where she most recently was president of global marketing services; she has been global president of J&J’s global baby care franchise, has held marketing leadership positions in the medical devices sector at J&J, in pharmaceuticals with Bristol Myers Squibb Company, and started her career at Procter & Gamble.
LIGHTMED Corporation of San Clemente, California has named Dennis Dowell director of sales and marketing for North America. Dowell was most recently global director of marketing, education and training of OD-OS Inc. He has a master’s in science from University of California, Los Angeles and a master’s of fine arts in photography from the California Institute of the Arts.
Toft Group Executive Search of San Diego, California has named Ronald Giannotti its chief operating officer. Giannotti has spent 35 years in health care sales, marketing, and executive leadership, and was most recently president and CEO of Trinity Orthopedics. He is the founder of KFx Medical LLC, was vice president of marketing and sales for Guidant Corporation (now Boston Scientific), and vice president of marketing and sales at EndoVascular Technologies Inc. until its acquisition by Guidant Corporation.
Divurgent of Virginia Beach, Virginia has added Steve Weichhand as vice president of professional services. Weichhand began his career at Epic, after which he founded a clinical consulting practice focusing on enterprise transformation initiatives.
Zimmer Biomet Holdings Inc. of Warsaw, Indiana has named Coleman Lannum its senior vice president of investor relations. He was most recently senior vice president of investor strategy and investor relations officer for Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, and led investor relations at Covidien and Tyco Healthcare for nine years.
Lannett Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania has added Grant Brock as vice president of operations and Alicia Evolga as vice president of marketing. Brock was previously vice president of operations for Aprecia Pharmaceuticals, has been senior vice president of operations for Custom Powder Systems, and worked in manufacturing and engineering at Teva Pharmaceuticals. Evolga was most recently vice president of marketing for Cipla USA, and has worked for Lupin Pharmaceuticals, Apotex Corporation, and Impax Laboratories.
FirstCare Health Plans of Austin, Texas named Scott Carlisle regional sales director for its Amarillo, Lubbock, and Midland markets. Carlisle has been director of business development for BSA Health System in Amarillo since 2014, held sales and marketing positions with Northwest Texas Care System in Amarillo and HealthSmart Preferred Care PPO Network in Lubbock, and holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University.
MedeAnalytics of Richardson, Texas has named Mike Supple to its board of directors. Supple is executive vice president at B.E. Smith, a member of AMN Healthcare; he has held senior management positions at Cerner Corporation, and spent 12 years in leadership at Digital/Compaq. Supple holds an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.
The Human Vaccines Project of New York, New York added Moncef Slaoui to its board of directors. Slaoui was chairman of pharmaceutical research and development and the vaccines division at GSK; he holds a Ph.D. in molecular biology and immunology from the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Belgium.
CVS Health of Woonsocket, Rhode Island has named Derica W. Rice president of CVS Caremark, its pharmacy benefit management (PBM) business. Rice was most recently executive vice president of global services and CFO of Eli Lilly and Company. He holds an MBA from Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Kettering University.
Johnson & Johnson of New Brunswick, New Jersey has named Joseph Wolk its vice president of investor relations to replace Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Dominic J. Caruso, who will retire in September 2018 after 19 years with the company. Caruso is the longest-serving CFO in the history of the organization, having held the post since 2007.
CareSource of Dayton, Ohio has named David Goltz its chief financial officer; Goltz was most recently chief financial officer of emerging markets for Health Care Services Corporation, a licensee of Blue Cross Blue Shield. He holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas.
Frenesius Medical Care North America of Waltham, Massachusetts has named Angela McClure its chief experience officer (CXO). McClure was most recently senior vice president of human resources for Fresenius Kidney Care, Azura, Physician Practice Services and Spectra Laboratories.
AMPAC Fine Chemicals of Rancho Cordova, California added Lee Gauthier as vice president of operations, replacing the retiring Joseph Campbell. Gauthier was most recently vice president of global operations at W.R. Grace & Company, and has held various senior operating positions at Ferro Corporation. Gauthier has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and an MBA, both from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
Exact Sciences Corp. of Madison, Wisconsin has named Mark Stenhouse president of its Cologuard line. Stenhouse will depart his position of vice president U.S. immunology at AbbVie to join the company April 2.
Bionik Laboratories of Boston, Massachusetts has added Peter Gerald Malone and Joseph Martin to its board of directors, replacing the resigning director Peter Bloch. Malone chairs fluidOil Limited, the Aberdeen Asia-Pacific Income Fund (FAX), and is a director of the Mutual Fund Directors Forum. He is a former UK member of parliament, and was minister of state for health in John Major’s government from 1994 to 1997. Martin currently chairs Brooks Automation, is a director of Collectors Universe Inc. and of Allegro Microsystems, and has served on the boards of Collectors Universe Inc., Fairchild Semiconductor, ChipPAC Inc. and Soitec Inc.
Valley Presbyterian Hospital of Van Nuys, California has added Clyde Wesp as its new chief medical officer. Wesp is a board-certified pediatrician and USC adjunct professor at the Sol Price School of Public Policy.
