ENMET Sales Manager Ray Kelley has retired from the Ann Arbor, Michigan-based company after 20 years. Kelley was “a well-loved and appreciated member of our sales team, and his achievements will not be forgotten,” the company said in a statement. He was praised for training those staffers whom he leaves behind and for establishing longstanding customer relationships. In retirement, Kelley will pursue more of his hobbies, which include travel, fly fishing, and umpiring tennis matches.

Health Alliance Plan of Detroit, Michigan, has appointed Mike Treash as SVP and COO. Treash has more than 25 years of experience in health care and financial services; most recently, he was vice president of enterprise operations at Priority Health in Grand Rapids, Mich. Treash has also been EVP and COO of Mercy Health Plans in Chesterfield, Missouri; COO of The Outsource Group in St. Louis, Missouri; associate executive director for operations at Scott & White Health Plan in Temple, Texas; and senior manager, advisory services at Ernst & Young. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Western Michigan University and a master's degree in public administration from Arizona State University.

Beyond Limits of Glendale, California has named Manikanda Arunachalam its SVP for Corporate Development and Investments. Arunachalam is a partner in DS Investments, serves on the board of HD Medical Group, and is a strategic advisor to Guardant Health. He is also a former director at the KEF Company, and has served in key strategic and management roles at Capricorn Healthcare and Special Opportunities Fund, Motherhood India, and Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices. A cardiologist and pioneer of multinational clinical trials, Arunachalam has an MD from Madras Medical College and an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Shealynn Buck of Kansas City, Missouri has been named CMO of Lockton Benefit Group in Dallas, Texas. A licensed physician, Buck holds an MD from the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, she is board-certified in clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology, and is a member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM). She was most recently VP of health integration at Marsh & McLennan Agency, and has been director of DeKalb Regional Health System's WorksWell and medical director of its Wellness Center.

GlobalMed of Scottsdale, Arizona has made Gigi Sorenson its Director of Clinical Integration. Sorenson most recently spent 15 years at Northern Arizona Healthcare, Flagstaff Medical Center, where she was director of Telehealth & Community Connected Care. Sorenson has held clinical positions focused on cardiovascular health at Freeport Health Network, Rockford Cardiology Associates, Saint Anthony Medical Center, and Rockford Memorial Hospital. She has both an MS and BS in Nursing from Northern Illinois University, and is an active member of the American Telemedicine Association and the Arizona Telemedicine Council.

The New Jersey Hospital Association of Princeton, New Jersey named New Jersey Department of Health commissioner Cathleen Bennett its president and CEO. She succeeds Betsy Ryan, who has led the organization since 2008. Bennett was previously NJHA CIO; formerly, she was president and partner of the start-up Policy Studies Inc., holds a JD from The Dickinson School of Law, a master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor's in English from Villanova University.

Oska Wellness of Carlsbad, California has added COO Mike Regan and CFO Gary Acord. Regan  was most recently CEO at Alteryx, Inc., and has worked with KACE Networks, MusicMatch Inc., SalesLogix, and as a managing partner at KPMG.

Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center Hospital of Houston, Texas has promoted Naman Mahajan from COO and interim CEO, a role he has held since 2014, to full CEO. Mahajan was formerly CEO for Select Specialty Hospital Houston Heights, and has worked at the Harris County Hospital District, Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City, and Memorial Hermann Memorial City. He holds an MBA with a health care specialization from Baylor University.

Eisai Inc. of Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey has named Michael Amoroso SVP of its Americas Commercial Oncology Business Group. Amoroso spent the last six years at Celgene, most recently as its commercial head of Global Markets for CAR-T programs; he has also worked at Sanofi Aventis. Amoroso holds an MBA from the New York University Stern School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Rider University.

Getinge of Rochester, New York has appointed Niclas Sjöswärd its interim CFO until Lars Sandström assumes the role in January 2018. Sandström replaces Reinhard Mayer; Sjöswärd will fill the gap until Sandström can accept the role full time. Sjöswärd has been with the company since 2014, and currently is Chief Group Operations Officer responsible for Indirect Purchasing, Shared Services, Real Estates and Program Management. He has previously held senior management positions at Volvo, and has extensive experience from working at PwC, Accenture, and SAS.

As it completes its acquisition of C.R. Bard, Inc., BD of Franklin Lakes, New Jersey will add two Bard directors to its own board: Bard Chairman and CEO Timothy Ring and David Melcher, president and CEO of the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA). Ring has held his dual roles since 2003; he joined Bard in June 1992 and previously worked at Abbott Laboratories and The General Motors Corporation. Ring is also a director of Quest Diagnostics Incorporated, a trustee for the New Jersey Health Foundation (NJHF), a board member for the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed), the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), and the Healthcare Leadership Council, and serves on the Cornell University Council. Melcher has been president and CEO of AIA since 2015, and was previously the CEO and president of ITT spinoff Exelis Inc.; he spent 32 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Lieutenant General. Melcher serves on the Federal Aviation Administration's NextGen Advisory Committee, and is a recipient of the Army's Distinguished Service Medal and the Association of the U.S. Army John W. Dixon award for contributions to the defense industry.

Sunquest Information Systems of Tucson, Arizona, has named Michael Epplen its president. Epplen has been president of Data Innovations and of Atlas Medical, but most recently had taken on the COO role at Sunquest. He has more than 20 years in the health care software business, a master's degree from the University of Cincinnati, and a bachelor's degree from Thomas More College.

Eli Lilly and Company of Indianapolis, Indiana, has promoted Josh Smiley to SVP, CFO, and a member of its executive committee, effective January 2018; Smiley succeeds retiring CFO Derica Rice. Dan Skovronsky will become SVP for science and technology, president of Lilly Research Labs, and of Lilly's executive committee, effective June 2018; he replaces the retiring Jan Lundberg, EVP for science and technology and president of Lilly Research Labs, who spent eight years with the company. Myles O'Neill has been made SVP, president of manufacturing operations, and a member of Lilly's executive committee, effective January 2018; he succeeds Maria Crowe, who retires after 35 years with Lilly.

Montefiore Health System and Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York, has named Judy Yee professor and university chair of its department of radiology. Yee has earned her medical degree at Einstein and started her career in health care at the Bronx High School of Science. She most recently was professor and vice-chair of the department of radiology and biomedical imaging at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and has been chief of radiology at the San Francisco VA Health Care System. A past president of the Society of Abdominal Radiology, Yee serves on the editorial boards of RadioGraphics, Abdominal Radiology, and the Journal of Computed Tomography. She succeeds Edward Stephen Amis, who led the department for 25 years.

ConcertoHealth of Detroit, Michigan, has named Ernest L. Yoder its regional medical director for the state of Michigan. Yoder will provide clinical oversight for four Detroit-area ConcertoHealth Care Centers and clinical teams, and will direct the multidisciplinary care teams central to the ConcertoHealth Primary Care Support Platform. Yoder was most recently associate dean of educational affairs, chaired the Department of Medical Education and associate dean for graduate medical education at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine, and was founding dean of the Central Michigan University (CMU) College of Medicine, where he also chaired the CMU Medical Education Partners board of directors.

Conventus Orthopaedics of Minneapolis, Minnesota has added Richard Mott to its board of directors. Mott is a principal in Walkabout Consulting LLC, chairman of Silk Road Medical, Relievant MedSystems, and 480 Biomedical. He is a former president-CEO, and director of Kyphon Inc., held executive positions at Wilson Greatbatch Technologies, and executive operating roles within Bristol-Myers Squibb.

Aetion of New York, New York has named Carolyn Magill its CEO. Magill was formerly the CEO of Remedy Partners, has worked with Evolent Health, and was formerly VP of Medicare Special Needs Plans and COO for the second-largest Medicaid health plan at UnitedHealth Group. Magill has a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and an MBA in health care management from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Lannett of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania has begun searching for a new CEO to succeed Arthur Bedrosian, who has been its CEO since 2006. Bedrosian is also a member of its board, and will remain so throughout the search process; after his replacement is named, Bedrosian likely may remain with the company in a strategic advisory role.
