Jonathan Chen

Jonathan Chen has joined the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), as chief of its division of cardiothoracic surgery. Chen has been chief of pediatric cardiovascular services and the David Wallace-Starr Foundation professor at Weill Medical College of Cornell University, as well as surgical director of the pediatric heart transplant program at Columbia University.

 

Healionics Corporation of Seattle, Washington has added Ryan Takeuchi to its board of directors. Takeuchi has 20 years of experience in the medical device and private equity industries, and most recently served was the divisional business leader of W.L. Gore's Medical Products Division.

 

Scott Bagwell

EnableComp LLC of Franklin, Tennessee named Scott Bagwell, the former president of Experian Health and a health care technology industry veteran, to its board of directors.

 

Steward Health Care of Dallas, Texas named Jim Olson as its chief communications officer. Olson holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and serves on the board of directors of the USC Center for Public Relations and on the senior advisory board of Proof Analytics.

 

Stephen Davies

Eisai Inc. has named Stephen Davies as vice president of Eisai Strategic Information Systems, a member of its executive committee for the Americas, and a member of its global IT steering committee. Davies joins Eisai from Gartner Inc.

 

4medica of Marina Del Rey, California has added Brian Keefe, formerly of Psyche Systems Corporation, to its sales team.

 

DaVita, Inc. of Denver, Colorado has added Partha Das as its international chief medical officer (CMO). Das is a British nephrologist and a previous Harkness Fellow in Health Care Policy and Practice at Harvard University. He succeeds Mahesh Krishnan, who has been the CMO since 2015.

 

Mark El-Tawil

Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBSAZ) of Phoenix, Arizona named Mark El-Tawil its CFO. El-Tawil was most recently CFO at P3 Health Group.

 

VisitPay of Boise, Idaho named Conrad Coopersmith its new chief revenue officer. Coopersmith will be based in Nashville, and has more than 20 years of health care sales experience. He has worked for Intermedix, McKesson Connected Care and Analytics, and RelayHealth Financial Solutions.

 

Rimidi of Atlanta, Georgia has named Jim Clifford its vice president of strategic sales. Clifford has 22 years of experience in health care IT, 10 of which were spent at MEDITECH. A founding member of the Wellcentive team, Clifford was most recently strategic sales director for Philips Wellcentive.

 

Richard Afable, M.D.

Concierge Key Health has named Richard Afable, M.D., its president and CEO, succeeding Robert E. Grant, who will continue as its founder and chairman of the board.

 

iSpecimen of Lexington, Massachusetts has added Benjamin Bielak as its chief information officer (CIO).

 

Brown & Toland has added Lynn Grennan as CFO, Therese Crossett as vice president of business development, and Elisa Johnson as vice president of human capital.

 

Aaron Karlen

Hope Orthopedics added orthopedic hand surgeon Aaron Karlen to its practice. Karlen holds a juris doctorate as well as an MD, completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Minnesota, and a plastics and orthopedic surgery hand fellowship at Baylor University in Houston.

 

Eli Lilly and Company promoted Anne White to senior vice president of Lilly and president of Lilly Oncology, replacing Sue Mahony, who retired on August 31.

 

Bob Oliver and S. Bob Chib

Accreditation Council for Medical Affairs (ACMA) of New York, New York added Bob Oliver and S. Bob Chib to its board of governors. Oliver is the CEO of V ClinBio, former president and CEO of Otsuka Pharmaceuticals, is an executive advisor for both Cellix Bio Sciences Inc and Hyalo Technologies, and serves on the board of directors for Neurotez Inc. Chib is the head of corporate strategy, innovation, and business development at Astellas Pharma, and has 20 years experience as a senior biopharma executive.

 

Endologix Inc. has named Jeffrey S. Brown its COO. Brown was most recently GM of a multi-site joint venture between Johnson & Johnson and Steris Corporation.

 

Pearl Darling

The Joint Commission (TJC) has promoted associate director for ambulatory care Pearl Darling to executive director of the Ambulatory Care Accreditation Program. A 17-year employee of TJC, Darling spent a decade in its division of accreditation and certification operations; prior to her work there, she was a project manager with a Chicago-based management consulting firm.
