A win for medical equipment sales and service entrepreneurs

Those who attended the first Medical Dealer Leadership Summit left with “invaluable advice and proven strategies to help their businesses get to the next level,” said MD Publishing president John Krieg, who hosted the event at the site of the MD Expo ’12.

The Leadership Summit took place August 27-28 at the Green Valley Ranch Resort in Henderson, Nev., just outside Las Vegas. The two-day Leadership Summit began with a cocktail reception the 27. Activities began at 7 a.m. the next day and included a networking breakfast, a series of seminars and a one-hour facility tour of award-winning online retailer Zappo’s. Following the Summit, attendees enjoyed a pre-MD Expo mixer at the resort, with food, drinks and networking opportunities with clinical engineers from area hospitals who will return for the MD Expo, Oct. 3-5.

“This high-powered conference was custom designed for business owners, entrepreneurs and C-level managers in the medical equipment sales and service industry,” Krieg said.

The well-attended seminars covered strategies for growing business, succeeding in a post-recession economy, becoming a leader in healthcare technology management and employing the latest strategies in digital marketing. Speakers included Brian Parsley, Dan Lier, Brian Poplin and David Klein.

Packed with comprehensive insight spanning from motivating sales forces to modern marketing strategies, the Leadership Summit proved to be a dynamic event full of tips to take home and apply immediately.

At the pre-Expo Mixer, clinical engineers from area hospitals gathered for food and drinks and to listen to Manny Roman’s famous presentation, “Effective Negotiations: Verbal and non-verbal communications for service professionals: How to ensure a win-win outcome.”
