I believe people become numb because they encounter the same problems on a daily basis.

I feel like the health care industry does provide great employment opportunities, however being flexible is the only way to stay employed.

In the past four years, we have had multiple CMS regulation changes and the FDA is also looking at how medical equipment is serviced and reported.

We have a policy in place that requires a service manual with all new equipment purchases to ensure that we have everything we need to be able to service the equipment properly. We make sure the manual has preventative maintenance (PM) procedures and frequencies listed so we can include them in our computerized maintenance software. […]

As we all are aware, many medical equipment manufacturers no longer exist because big companies have bought them to eliminate competition.

I have previously written articles about my friends at KMA, praising the company for their willingness to do whatever it takes to do what I need.

Second sourcing parts is a standard practice in most progressive biomed departments.

I always felt that a good salesperson delivers what you asked for, and a great anticipates your needs.

Harnessing the data (and knowledge) buried in our CMMS system can provide meaningful information that is otherwise mostly anecdotal at this point.

The New Year provides an opportunity to hit the reset button and leave our past behind and start anew.
