Canton & Company Releases 2019 Healthcare Predictions

Canton & Company, a healthcare growth and innovation services firm, today released predictions on the future of healthcare from five pioneering leaders in the industry. The 2019 Healthcare Predictions paper delivers perspectives from CEOs/ Presidents of healthcare service, technology, and advisory companies, as well as insights from two of the most prominent physician leaders in the United States.

"What emerged from our discussions were big themes focused on waste, value, and risk," said Kathleen Hertzog, Canton & Company's Chief Marketing Officer. "During our interviews, each leader predicted the prevailing trends for 2019 and offered advice for stakeholders. And despite coming at the conversation from different 'seats' in the industry, there was a lot of consistency in their messages."

Among the trends cited are the continued movement of care from institutional settings to the community and the home, the rising risk of physician burnout, and the entry of more Amazons and Googles into the market. The experts also unanimously recommend a mindset shift for stakeholders who want to thrive in the evolving economy.
